Tribute

Terri Wheeler Rogers, 65, passed away on October 3, 2022 at High Point Regional Hospital. While High Point, NC was her birthplace, she and her husband, Ronnie Rogers built a life together in Youngsville, NC.

She was predeceased by her mother, Billie Wheeler; her mother-in-law, Ella Rogers; her sister in laws Betsy (Danny) Lancaster and Kay (Tony) Bullock; nephew Brian (Tatum) Eason and is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rogers; her daughter Beth (Brandon Kuhn) Green; step-daughters Rhonda (Ken Wall) Patterson and Kim (Lawrence) Creech, three grandchildren Kyle Patterson, Izze Kuhn and Liam Kuhn; her father Wayne Wheeler; her sisters Toni (Jim) Gorman and Laurie “Sam” (Willis “Bill”) Stover; sister in law Frances (Walter) Eason, and four nephews August (Jessica) Agner, Michael (Christina) Stover and Steve (Holly Bryant) Stover, Derrick (Melissa Hinton) Bullock and two nieces Danielle (Philip) Massey and Cher Bullock.

After the passing of her mother-in-law, Ella, Terri gladly took over the reins of hosting family gatherings. While guests were always welcome to bring side dishes and desserts (unless she put you in charge of the bagged ice or tea) she insisted on preparing a delicious Southern-style spread herself including crowd favorite side-dishes, biscuits, and mind-blowing desserts - carrot cake, coconut cake, pound cake, strawberry cake, and banana pudding to name a few.

She spent most of her professional career as a Realtor® in the Triangle area. She earned her real estate license in the late 80s and focused primarily on residential new home sales. She loved to learn. She loved to read and loved the challenge of solving crossword puzzles. She could sew very well - anything from curtains to clothing. She had a blast watching ACC basketball and cheering (loudly) for her favorite team, Duke. She enjoyed snuggling up on the sofa to watch her favorite TV shows. She adored the late Miss Molly, the family's beloved Maltese (her favorite 'daughter'). But most of all, she cherished family vacations in Emerald Isle, NC.

Terri was intelligent, inquisitive, funny, witty, stubborn, sassy, brave, kind, gracious, passionate, spirited, wise, tender-hearted, creative, radiant, beautiful, stylish and fiercely protective of those she loved. Watching her fade away was the hardest thing we've ever done. She will live forever in our broken hearts.
