Thomas Edwin Hill Jr. passed away October 27, 2019. He was born June 30, 1951, a California native and current resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday October 27, 2019 at the age of 68. Born on June 30, 1951 to Thomas Edwin Hill Sr. and Hester Elizabeth Savage.
Thomas is survived by his children: Sacha (Hill) Miller and grandson Tony Hill-Rodia; daughter McKenna Elizabeth-Hill Proserpi and granddaughters, Riley Marie Proserpi, Sydney Ann Proserpi and grandson Hayden James Proserpi; daughter Bailey Elise Hill-James granddaughter Quinn Rose Elizabeth Hill James & daughter Alissa Rose (Hill) Kiesz. His three sisters: Barbara (Hill) Zeff, Candice (Hill) Hopkinson and Pamela (Hill) Garibaldi .
From a very young age, Tom's passion was music and during his lifetime he became an accomplished musician, working with some of the greatest musicians of our time throughout his life. At the very moment of his passing he was working on his original music; he passed away doing exactly what he loved. He was a loving father and grandfather, his family was everything to him. He was a fierce friend who would do anything to help someone he loved. Tom had a lifelong battle with addiction and it turned his own battle into a war against the disease by working within the addiction treatment community. Over the course of 30+ years he helped countless people fight addiction and maintain their sobriety and will be forever revered by those he saved.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 16th, time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the family of Tom Hill at the Go Fund Me page established in his honor.
