Thomas Waco Miller, III, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with his Lord on August 9, 2018, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
Tom was born in and grew up in Elizabeth City, NC. Tom possessed a great sense of adventure and loved to travel. He spent 10 years in Saudi Arabia working in the oil industry. When he returned to the states, he received a degree in Computer Sciences. He worked for several companies and retired from the NC Department of Agriculture in 2014.
Tom enjoyed life and loved being with friends and family. He was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While we are saddened at his passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that his battle is over, and he is with his Lord.
Tom is survived by: his wife, Rebecca (Smith) Miller; son and stepchildren, David Keith Miller (Elisa), Christopher Houchens (Brook), Rachel Sharpstene (Matthew), and David Hansen (Chelsea); grandchildren Juliana, Aiden, Isabella, and Sophia, Julia, Lily, Job, Aven, Zane, Elias, and Thomas; six half-brothers and half-sisters also survive Tom along with nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3525 Rogers Rd, Wake Forest.
