Tony Edward Snavely, age 59, of Wake Forest, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. He was born on June 12, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Gary Edward Snavely and JoAnn Blankenship Snavely. Tony was an active member of Village Church Rolesville and was the proud owner/operator of Triad Earthworks and he loved every minute of his work. He enjoyed the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, so much so that he even swore he bled black and gold. He also loved reading, anything science fiction or history, visiting museums, his cars, his dogs Maxwell and Gigi, and most of all being with his family, especially his children whom he loved more than life itself.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jeff and David Snavely.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter JoAnn Snavely of Wake Forest, NC, his son Anthony Snavely of Wake Forest, NC, Brian Mauney of Marion, NC, his two sisters; Sheila Piasecki of Fayetteville, NC, and Christine Snavely of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by his niece Valerie Partin of Youngsville, NC and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastors Jimmy Allen and Tyler Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Wake Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
The funeral and visitation is open to all those wishing to attend and celebrate Tony's life.
