Vickie Sue Gelfo

Vickie Sue Gelfo, 78, of Wake Forest, NC, passed away Monday, January 31, 2023 at the hospice home at Transitions Lifecare.  She was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on September 26, 1944. Vickie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her loss is tremendous and she will be missed by many.

Vickie was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Marie Douglas, her parents, Ernest John Campbell and Clara Haupt Campbell, and siblings, Sandra Capasso and Jeffrey Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ronald Alan Gelfo of Wake Forest, NC, daughter, Lisa Renee Barnhill of Boca Raton, FL, son Kevin Greggory Gelfo (wife Tracy) of Wake Forest, NC, granddaughters, Alexandra Barnhill of Washington, DC and Savannah Douglas of Charlotte, NC.  She is also survived by her brothers, Ernest Campbell of Acworth, GA, Ronald Campbell of Jeannette, PA (wife Rally) and several loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest with a visitation at 1:00pm followed by a memorial service in her honor at 2:00 p.m.
