Víctor Armando Gonzalez Cuevas, 23, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 2227 NC 39, Louisburg, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, March 5, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. at Bright Funeral Home. Social distancing is appreciated and face coverings are required. Burial will follow the service on Saturday in Harris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Youngsville.

Víctor was born in Veracruz, Mexico on May 14, 1997. He came to the United States at the age of 5. He lived his whole life in Franklin County. He was a fan of soccer and started playing since middle school. One of his favorite soccer teams was Barcelona and his favorite player was Lionel Messi. He attended Franklinton Elementary, Royal Elementary, Cedar Creek Middle and Franklinton High School. After graduating in 2015, he started working in a company in which he enjoyed the environment. He passed away on February 27, 2021 surrounded by his mother, father, one of his sisters and his loving girlfriend. Victor fought strong for 3 years after being involved in a work accident. He was on the transplant waiting list for over a year until he finally got the first one in November 2020. Sadly the first transplant didn’t go well, he had faith in another one would come soon. Just like that, he got the second transplant in January 2021. He was so happy to get his transplant so he could start his life back again alongside with his girlfriend. He was known and loved by so many people. His smile was contagious. He lit up the room when he walked in. He will be remembered as a positive, caring, outgoing and a strong fighter.

Victor is survived by his parents, Victor Gonzalez and Marisol Cuevas, sisters, Sonia Gonzalez Cuevas and Arlette Gonzalez Cuevas and his girlfriend, Dylan Harrison.
