Vivian Blackwell Joyner Stainback, 85, passed away on Monday July 16, 2018. She was born in Granville County the daughter of the late William Fleming Blackwell and Janie Elliott Blackwell Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph W. Joyner in 1983 and her second husband, Cecil T. Stainback in 2007 and a sister, Virginia Blackwell Potter in 2005.
Mrs. Stainback was retired from ABB Westinghouse in Raleigh and from Revlon in Oxford. After retirement she obtained her CNA certification and worked in that field. She was an extreme couponer before it was a thing and always shared her deals with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon July 18, 2018 at Flat Rock Baptist Church Louisburg Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.
Vivian is survived by her daughters; Marsha Hocutt (Randy Hager) of Midland, Deborah Wolfhope (Stephen) of Wake Forest, a sister; Sally Blackwell Russell (Melvin) of Raleigh, Cecil’s children; Janet Newton and Talmadge Stainback, grandchildren; Nicole Smith Hinson (Andy), Blair Carter (Abbie), Barrett Hocutt (Tiffany), great grandchildren; Rebecca Ashley, Addison, Marion Grace, Lilly and Reed, many nieces and nephews.
