Wendell Craig Williams

Wendell Craig Williams, 57, of Youngsville died November 18, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham.

Wendell is survived by his wife Lynne F. Ellington-Williams.  He was a beloved husband, step-father and Papa.  A successful businessman, he was well known and loved in the Wake Forest and Youngsville Communities.  Wendell was the General Manager for Landscape Masters, Inc., a landscape business that he and his wife started together just a few years ago.  Wendell was very resourceful and knowledgeable in the landscape industry.  Wendell was a “Blood bought believer in Jesus Christ” and member of Faith Baptist Church of Youngsville, NC.  He was a good Christian man that was a friend to many and would help you in any way possible if asked.

Wendell was born in Auburn, NC.  He was preceded in death by his father, Worth S Williams and his mother, Louise Clark Williams. 

Although Wendell had no children of his own, he was a great Step-Father to my children, Timothy E. Nichols and Jacinda E. Moody.  When we were married, he inherited 5 grandchildren that he adored, Chyanne Nichols (17), Joshua Nichols (13) & Brent Nichols (9) and Alexis Moody (8) & Ava Moody (5).

He was a great boss and mentor to Kevin Weathers, whom Wendell considered as his son.  Wendell leaves behind a multitude of brothers & sisters in Christ and as well as wonderful friends and acquaintances.

Wendell also had 2 fur babies, Chinese Crested Powder Puffs, Shimmy and Astrid, both well-known on the WFCI Page.

Wendell was a people person and never met a stranger.  He would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet if you needed them.  He was an excellent listener, a very caring and loving person with a great smile and personality.  If you had the pleasure of meeting him, he would tell you about Jesus and discuss everything from the Bible to Landscaping to family and friends.

He led Celebrate Recovery for a couple of years at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC and walked with and encouraged many during that time to turn to Christ.   A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church 249 Holden Rd, Youngsville, NC 27596. Interment will follow at Montlawn Cemetery, Raleigh.

The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11-12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.
