William Monty Capps

William “Monty” Capps, age 59, passed away at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill with his family by his side.  Monty was born in Princeton, NC on September 4, 1963 to William Cecil Capps and Nancy Joyce Daughtry Capps. He served his country in the US NAVY as a photographer then came home to continue his passion for photography for 24 years working for America Fast Photo. For the past 9 years, Monty was employed by Hill-Rom, finishing as the Asset manager at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Family and friends will remember Monty as always having a joke ready, being a helping hand, and eager to share his opinion regarding religion or politics.  He loved all three of his girls and his family which included neighbors, friends, and coworkers.  He had great faith in God and hoped everyone came to know that joy.  He was a man of many facets in his life. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Ann (Dillard) Capps; daughter Samantha Foreman and husband Joshua; daughter Jessica Capps; and sister Susan Chappell and husband Ron.

His family will be receiving guest on Saturday October 15, from 3 to 5pm in the Bright Funeral Home to celebrate Monty’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www. Stjude.org in his name.
