William Douglas Gourley

William Douglas “Doug” Gourley, age 76 of Franklinton, NC, passed away on October 16, 2021.Doug was born in Bryson City, NC on June 28, 1945, to J.C. And Dorothy Gourley. He was the proud owner of Doug’s Garage in Franklinton. He was a hard-working man, and he always took care of his family.
Throughout many years of his life, Doug loved racing cars, fishing trips in the mountains, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie of Franklinton; son Stephen Gourley and wife Brook, and step-daughter Gina Samia and husband Paul; granddaughters Ariel and Bella; several brothers and sisters, and children/grandchildren outside of the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two granddaughters, a brother, and a sister.
His family loved him, and will miss him. His memory will live on with those he left behind
