William "Ron" Hazelwood

William Ronald “Ron” Hazelwood, 81, of Youngsville passed away on Monday November 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Marion County, Indiana the son of the late Natalie Nichols Hazelwood and William Newton Hazelwood.

Mr. Hazelwood was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 22, Indianapolis, the Greenwood Masonic Lodge # 514, and he served in the US Navy from 1959 until 1962.

He was an avid wood worker, loved Indiana basketball and was a diehard Indy Colts fan. While he was a Hoosier through and through, moving to North Carolina and being able to watch his grandchildren play in his backyard was one of his greatest enjoyments in life.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon December 5, 2021 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home

Mr. Hazelwood is survived by his wife; Barbara E. Hazelwood, daughters; Tonja Marie Gage and her husband Gary Michael, Joy Lynn Heilman and her husband Jon Paul, grandchildren; Jacqueline Gage, Delaney Gage, Rachelle Binkley and Cameron Binkley.
