W. Odis Morris

William Odis Morris, 93, passed away on Thursday May 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Wake County the son of the late Luna Morton Morris and Burton “Bud” Morris. He was preceded in death by his first wife Nellie Frances Houston Morris and by 14 siblings.

Mr. Morris was a retired electrician with the American Tobacco Company in Durham and a veteran of the US Army.

A funeral will be held at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon May 5, 2019 in the Stony Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Blanche Scarboro Lancaster Morris, his children; William Avery “Buddy” Morris and wife Linda, Danny Lee Morris and wife Marianne, Penny Morris Braxton and husband Glenn, Beth Ann Morris, step-children; Kenneth Craig Lancaster and wife Nina, Rhonda Monteith and husband Steve. 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, a sister; Elene O’Neal and husband Winston “Wink”.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stony Hill Baptist Church, 7521 Stony Hill Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
