He proudly served his country during WWII as an Army Tech-Sergeant, Communications Chief in Europe. He retired from Burlington Industries, and later worked for the state driving dump trucks and also driving vehicles at auto auctions. During retirement he also owned and operated a carpet cleaning business.
He enjoyed farming and loved growing and sharing vegetables from his (ever expanding!) garden. Many of us enjoy our decks, picnic tables, and other construction projects thanks to his carpentry skills.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 29, at Bright Funeral Home, with visitation at 1 pm and service at 2 pm in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Wake Crossroads Baptist Church cemetery. Family will be at home at 3913 Burlington Mills Rd, Wake Forest, at other times.
