William "Bill" Robert Conner

William “Bill” Conner, 88, of Zebulon passed away on Saturday evening, May 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Wake County son of the late Alice Caviness Conner and John Fenner Conner. He was preceded in death by his sister; Jean Hocutt and her husband Arron.

He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceutical Company in Raleigh.

After retiring Bill enjoyed fishing, building things and gardening.

A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Bill is survived by his wife; Carolyn Pearce Conner, daughters; Patsy and Pamela Conner, Kimberly Horvath and her husband Craig, step-daughter; Christy Choplin and a step-son; Thurston Choplin,  grandchildren; Heather and Jonathan, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Bill will be dearly missed by family and friends. He was dearly loved and was a man of great faith.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
