William (Bill) Kearney

William (Bill) Charlie Kearney, 86, of Raleigh, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was the son of the late William Stanley Kearney and Zelma Marshall Kearney. He is preceded in death by his son Michael William Kearney and brother Clarence Haywood Kearney.

He was retired from Westinghouse and was a loving father and grandfather. Bill was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf and cards, bowling, and watching Nascar. He will be remembered for his love of spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Kearney is survived by his daughter, Lisa Kearney Partin and husband Tony of Raleigh; daughter in law, Sue Kearney of Raleigh; sister Audrey Pleasants of Wake Forest; brother Lewis Kearney and wife Barbara of Wake Forest; sister Carolyn Lynam of Raleigh; grandchildren Brittany, Brandon, Brooke, and Mikey; great-granddaughter Emma; and many more beloved family and friends.

Services will be held on October 10, 2021 at Wake Union Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. and the family will receive visitors the hour prior to the service. Graveside to follow at Wake Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
