Charles V. Mitchell

Charles Mitchell, age 81, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer but also after a long hard fought battle with dementia and diabetes. He was predeceased by his parents, Magruder & Gracie Mitchell.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Louise Mitchell, loving daughter, Debbie Sauls, two dearly loved grandsons: Trey Stotesbury and Ryan Sauls. He is also survived by a brother, David Mitchell. Charles is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and a great-nephew all of whom he loved dearly.

In his later years, Charles loved to feed a variety of animals and birds. He also enjoyed going out to eat and socializing with family and friends, especially The Forks Restaurant staff.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to the service. A private inurnment service will be held at a later date.
