"Joan & I are heartbroken to announce that our dear son Mike took his own life this past weekend. He was battling depression but we had no idea how serious it was. To all parents: please hug your kids and tell them you love them.
We will be honoring Mike's life on Friday August 16th from 6-8 p.m. at Bright funeral home in Wake Forest. We hope to see you there. Michael will be missed greatly by all his friends and family.
He was a lovely generous guy with a wicked sense of humor. He is survived by his parents Joan & Simon and brothers James & Andy. Words cannot express how much we love him and miss him every day."
