Brenda Ann Roberts

Brenda Ann Roberts, 75, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, after a long and brave struggle with Lewy-Body Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She was born August 25, 1942 to the late John E. Briggs and Stella D. Szmydt Briggs in Portland, Maine.

Brenda grew up and was a life-long resident of South Portland, Maine. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church/ Parish of South Portland. Brenda graduated from South Portland High School and attended Katie Gibbs in Boston.

She worked in the insurance field her entire career, retiring from Clark Associates Insurance of Portland.

Brenda was very family oriented. She loved the beach and shopping, especially for the deal. She was passionate about her support of the South Portland Food Cupboard.

Surviving are: a son, Peter Roberts and wife, Sharon of Wake Forest; two sisters, Joan O’Connell and husband, John, Marcia Wahl and husband, Tom.

Brenda’s funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. John’s & Holy Cross Catholic Church, 124 Cottage Rd, South Portland, ME. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
