Nancy Lee Whitt, 82, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born February 24, 1935 in Wake County to the late Haywood Garner and Nancy Brown Garner. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Garner, a sister, Julia Swiggard and her parents.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Pastor Drew Grumbles will officiate. Burial will follow at Brassfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are; her husband, of 63 years, Donald Whitt of Youngsville; a daughter, Deborah Carter and husband, Bo of Rolesville; two sons, Mitch Whitt and wife, Robin of Youngsville and Karl Whitt and wife Angela of Leland; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Marshall and husband, Charles of Youngsville; two brothers, Bruce Garner and wife Sylvia of Raleigh, Ricky Garner and wife, Donna of Wake Forest.
