R. Maynard Pearce Sr

Robert Maynard Pearce, 94, passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at his residence. Maynard was a son of the late Dollie Pearce and Kate Pearce of Franklin County.

Maynard was a loyal member of New Hope Baptist Church since 1956. He served his country in World War II from 1944-1946. He married Esther Alford of Youngsville in 1947 and they had two sons, Robert and Kent.

Maynard loved going to any event that involved his two grandchildren, Morgan and Zach.

Maynard is survived by; his wife, Esther, of seventy years; sons, Robert (Michelle), Kent; grandchildren, Morgan (Clark) and Zach; sisters, Eleanor and Faye. He was preceded by his sister, Roberta and brothers, Philip and Kimble.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday February 14th at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC. Visitation will precede the service from 12:30-1:45 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church building fund.
