Robert Karl Vallery, 87, died Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was born January 17, 1931 to the late Karl and Babette Vallery. Robert was a US Airforce veteran.
Robert retired in 1992, after 35 dedicated years, as an electrical engineering manager at IBM. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed gourmet food. Robert was a longtime member of Brooks Ave. Church of Christ in Raleigh.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lorraine Wight Vallery.
Robert is survived by: his companion, of 25 years, Anne; a son, Drew Vallery and wife, Sally Ray Vallery of Clayton; a daughter, Michelle Vallery Sanders and husband, Douglas of California; three grandchildren, Megan Vallery, Anna Sanders and Drew Vallery II.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 26, 2018 at Brooks Ave. Church of Christ, 700 Brooks Ave, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Garden, Wake Forest with military honors.
Visitation for Robert will be held 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. (919) 556-5811
