John Carmen Panichello
John Carmen Panichello, 86, went into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Mr. Panichello was born in Edge Hill, PA and was a retired educator and coach of 25 years with the Colonial School District in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Mr. Panichello came from a rich Catholic background in PA. Retiring in Wake Forest, he learned to treasure the Word of God. He put his faith and trust in Christ as Savior and lived a life of daily trusting in the Lord.

Mr. Panichello was a past president of the Plymouth-Whitemarsh Exchange Club. He was a veteran of the US Army and member of the American Legion Post # 187.

Mr. Panichello was the son of the late Alexander Panichello, Sr. and the late Carmella Fanelli Panichello. Mr. Panichello is proceeded in death by brothers, Alexander M. Panichello (Dorothy, wife) of Willow Grove, PA and Samuel L. Panichello of Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Mr. Panichello is survived by a brother, Joseph Panichello (Jeanette, wife) of Raleigh, NC, a sister-in-law, Palma Panichello of Plymouth Meeting, PA, numerous nephews and nieces whom he treasured, countless students whose lives are still touched by his influence and Rev. Doug Nalley, friend and caregiver, of Franklinton, NC.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC  27587 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Doug Nalley officiating. Visitation and viewing was one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Burial followed at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest.

In retirement, John was touched by the lives of the students at Southeastern Seminary as he blessed so many of them with canned goods and other staples, fellowship and many other acts of kindness. His estate directs the establishment of the John C Panichello Endowment Fund to endow student scholarships to continue to aid students preparing to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made and sent to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Attn: Financial Development Office) at P.O. Box 1889, Wake Forest, NC 27588.
