Melissie Bailey Ray, 86, passed away on Thursday October 26, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Wake County the daughter of the late Mandie O’Neal Bailey and F. Paul Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Ray and her son, Wayne Ray.
A funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, October 29, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Walker and Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her sister, Frances B. Hudson; her nephew, Steven Wheeler; and several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Woodland Baptist Church, 190 Woodland Church Rd., Wake Forest, NC 27587 or to Transitions Life Care Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
The family would like to thank all of the care givers for everything they did during this time for Mrs. Ray.
